Seven Current and Former OPL Players Named to Canada’s FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Roster
Current and former players from across the OPL set to represent Canada on the international stage in Poland
The Premier Soccer Leagues Canada pathway will be well represented on the international stage this September, with 16 of the 21 players named to Canada’s FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Poland 2026™ roster having connections to the domestic pathway.
Seven of those players have ties to the Ontario Premier League, having competed with clubs including Scrosoppi FC, North Toronto, North Mississauga, FC London, Alliance United and NDC Ontario before progressing to collegiate and professional environments.
Goalkeeper Noelle Henning spent the 2026 OPL season with Scrosoppi FC after previously featuring for North Toronto in 2025 and NDC Ontario from 2022 to 2024.
Fellow goalkeeper Madison London spent four years with NDC Ontario from 2022 to 2025 and was most recently with North Mississauga in 2026.
Defender Stephanie Schoeley has competed with FC London in each of the past two seasons after previously spending time with NDC Ontario, while midfielder Jadea Collin joined Scrosoppi FC in 2026 following a 2025 season with Alliance United and earlier time with NDC Ontario.
Three more players selected to Canada’s squad also spent time with NDC Ontario. Current AFC Toronto midfielder Olivia Chisholm was with the program from 2023 to 2025, as was Teegan Melenhorst, now at the University of Miami. University of Notre Dame forward Annabelle Chukwu represented NDC Ontario from 2023 to 2024.
The seven OPL-connected players join eight with ties to the British Columbia pathway and Alberta Premier League forward Sariyah Bailey among the 16 players with PSLC connections selected to represent Canada in Poland.
Canada enters Poland 2026 as reigning Concacaf Women’s U-20 champions after capturing the 2025 regional title with an extra-time victory over Mexico in the Final.
Drawn into Group B, Canada will open against England on Sept. 5 at 12 p.m. ET before facing Brazil on Sept. 8 at 9 a.m. ET and Tanzania on Sept. 11 at 9 a.m. ET. All three matches will take place at Stadion Miejski in Bielsko-Biała.
Poland 2026 will mark Canada’s 10th appearance at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. Canada most recently reached the Round of 16 at Colombia 2024.
All of Canada’s matches will air live on TSN and RDS.
