Istocki, Benmassaoud and Parris capped off the regular season with standout performances

As the 2026 OPL women’s regular season reached its conclusion, players across all three divisions delivered one final month of standout performances.

Gabriela Istocki – NDC Ontario (OPL1)

At just 17 years old, Gabriela Istocki finished an impressive OPL1 campaign with 10 goals, tied with Guelph United’s Olivia Brown for the most in the division.

The NDC Ontario midfielder has also enjoyed a strong year internationally, helping Canada qualify for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2026 while finishing as the country’s joint-leading scorer during qualification with four goals.

A Canadian youth international at both the U-15 and U-17 levels, Istocki has also committed to Michigan State University as she continues an already promising young career.

Nassima Benmassaoud – Oakville SC (OPL2)

Nassima Benmassaoud closed out her first season with Oakville SC in impressive fashion, scoring nine goals across OPL2 and OPL3 during July.

The 23-year-old forward finished the OPL2 campaign with 10 goals in 14 appearances, earning a share of the division’s scoring lead while averaging a goal every 81.4 minutes.

Her clinical finishing throughout the closing month capped an immediate impact in her first season with the squad.

The 22-year-old scored six goals during the month while regularly earning Three Stars votes from both her own coaches and opposing staffs.

Parris, who also competes with the Brock Badgers women’s soccer program, consistently made her presence felt throughout the final month to cap off a strong OPL3 campaign.

As the women’s regular season came to a close, Istocki, Benmassaoud and Parris finished their campaigns with plenty to celebrate. From finishing among the league’s leading scorers to consistently making an impact for their clubs, the trio capped off impressive seasons with recognition as July’s OPL Women’s Three Stars.
