The St. Catharines Roma women’s and Windsor City men’s coaches have guided two of the league’s biggest turnaround stories

The Ontario Premier League’s Coaches of the Month for June 2026 were announced this week, as St. Catharines Roma’s Francesco Carriero (Women’s OPL3) and Windsor City’s Gabriel Poulino (Men’s OPL2) received the honours.

Carriero has overseen one of the most impressive transformations in the OPL this season. His St. Catharines Roma side remained unbeaten through June and currently leads all Women’s OPL3 clubs with the most points, putting itself in a commanding position atop the Southwest Division.

After finishing well off the pace a season ago, Roma has already surpassed its 2025 win and point totals with several matches still to play. The club has emerged as one of the league’s biggest success stories, combining consistent attacking play with strong defensive performances throughout the campaign.
